“Coding & Cleats, 7 on 7 Summer Sessions”

Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch tweeted out a picture Saturday of a

camp that his Fam 1st Family Foundation and he will be hosting a unique camp, “Coding & Cleats” going against the grain. The “7 ON 7 Summer Session” camps will be held from 9am- 3pm, June 17 & 24 and second session July 1 & 15, 2017, at Oakland Tech High In Oakland.

In the camp, attendees will “learn how to build and use sports technology.” This definitely is a unique type of camp, teaching kids that all parts of football can be cool, not just the players we see out there on Sundays.

The foundation is adamant about kids attending both portions of the camp and not letting kids participate in just one or the other.

Being close to the Fam 1st Family foundation was likely a factor in Lynch’s decision to sign with the Silver and Black, as it’s based in the Bay Area.

Seeing Lynch get involved in his home community and doing everything he can really speaks to the type of person he is and not the person we see when he’s speaking to the media.

AMWF Serves MORE U.S. MUSLIMS Than Major Islamic Groups COMBINED

Surah Al-Insan says: “And they are those who give food – in spite of their own need , to the needy, and the orphan, and the captive, [saying in their hearts], “We only feed you for the sake of God, and we desire nothing in return from you, not even a word of thanks’’ (76:8-9).

AARON & MARGARET WALLACE FOUNDATION, (AMWF) would like to wish you all the BEST! May ALLAH accept your good deeds and grant you and your families forgiveness.

As Salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu wa Jazzak Allah Khair Khayrun,

وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَايِشَ وَمَن لَّسْتُمْ لَهُ بِرَازِقِينَ
Wa ja-‘alnaa lakum fiihaa ma-‘aa-yisha wa mal-las-tum lahuu bi-raa-ziqiin.
20. and provided thereon means of livelihood for you (O men) as well as for all (living beings), whose sustenance does not depend on you.

Surah Ar – Ra’d, 13:26
’Al-laahu yabsutur-Rizqa limay-yashaa-u’ wa yaq-dir. Wa farihuu bil-ha-yaatid-dunyaa. Wa mal-hayaatud-dunyaa fil-’Aakhi-rati ’il-laa mataa‘-
26. God grants abundant sustenance, or gives it in scant measure, unto whomever He wills; and they (who are given abundance) rejoice in the life of this world – even though, as compared with the life to come, the life of this world is naught but a fleeting pleasure.
In Hadith al Qudsi, Allah (swt) says:
“Oh! Son of Adam! If Almighty Allah has taken the responsibility of providing your sustenance then why are your efforts directed exclusively towards it?
And if all fortunes and misfortunes are from Me, then why are you impatient.
So, you should not be disappointed when you love something and should be so happy when you gain something from this world.”

AARON & MARGARET WALLACE FOUNDATION (AMWF), with the long lines of people getting the necessary sustenance for living, you all have witnessed the incredible success of the “Jumaah Free Food Farmers Market”, Lunch, Flowers and Pastries Program at the Berkeley Masjid!
AMWF expanded this year to accommodate more people at the Masjid, over 300 families weekly, with twice the quantity, a higher quality, much healthier, more expensive and fresher product that was purely the blessings of God.
As the year ended, our annual accounting reveals that AMWF donated over $430,000 worth of food on just the 21 “Jumaah Free Food” days at that Masjid so far this year with one more day left!!

Mind you this total DOES NOT include the nights of Ramadan, Eid, and every other weekly giveaways that we have had there!
But unless the Masjid can take the ongoing program over as we have asked since we started it, we will have to
cut back severely because we do not get enough help physically, or financially to continue as it is. We would love to transition to a group from the Masjid ASAP and that can be done with few obstacles and make this the Masjid’s program as we had intended all the time. CAN YOU HELP THOSE IN NEED PRAYING NEXT TO YOU???!!
If you want to donate to us please make your check payable to: AARON & MARGARET WALLACE FOUNDATION (AMWF), 4200 Park Blvd., Ste. #116, Oakland, CA 94602; you can donate with Paypal email to: amwft@amwftrust.org, or our PayPal Fundraising Link: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=SE6DGFDH9XVKL, or go to our website and donate there.

Muslim individuals in 58 years? On March 9, 2012 we received a shipment of 46 cases (2 pallets, 2824 lbs) of Halal Beef Stew Meat from Islamic Meat & Poultry in Stockton, CA 95206. The order was placed by Islamic Relief USA for delivery to us. The entire shipment of Halal Beef Stew Meat that was delivered to us at 12:30 pm was gone before 3:30 pm! We have had a tremendous distribution system in place for years and we know who needs the food.

“Hand of Dignity” Program

AMWF provides a wide range of educational opportunities and employment preparation services for our clients including scholarship and admissions programs, referrals for job training, career development support, resume workshops, job search assistance, interview skills training and preparation.

AMWF, a volunteer-based organization, extends the “Hand of Dignity” to those less fortunate- men, women, and children, and provides them with the basic human necessity of quality, proper clothing, shoes, and accessories with an emphasis on low-income residents successfully obtaining an education or seeking employment to successfully transitioning into the workforce.

Our goal in the “Hand of Dignity” Program is to help low-income residents in Bay Area Counties improve their self-image and self-esteem by providing them with quality school or business apparel appropriate for attending school, job interviews and the professional workplace so they can obtain and education, secure employment and become economically self-sufficient. Many of the women in need of these services have nothing but the clothes on their back because they are escaping from abusive situations.

“Hand of Dignity” accepts new and gently used baby, children, teen youth, men’s and women’s clothing in excellent condition. We do not accept items in bad condition and they must not be noticeably worn, stained, torn, or imperfect. We are very selective as to what we will accept and ask/require that all donations to be in excellent condition, cleaned, pressed and on hangers.

We refresh the baby, children, teen youth clothing and give them new life with someone in need.

“Hand of Dignity” rescue, restore, and re-purpose the men’s and women’s business attire and accessories (suits, shirts, blouses, dresses, skirts, ties, scarfs, shoes, accessories, etc.) and provide them to individuals and programs which support people in transition or on welfare get jobs in the business world. Those “Qualified” clients in need can call to arrange a fitting of business attire and visit our ”showroom”, meet with a volunteer wardrobe adviser who helps select appropriate outfits for interviews and work for their new job.

Are there any clothes in your closet that you no longer wear? Put them to use by donating them to AMWF. The less fortunate are always in need of stylish, fresh, clean clothes. We would like to encourage you all to take the opportunity to do a little “closet purging” — and gather all those things that, quite honestly, will NEVER fit your body again.

Among the things that will find a new home with someone in need are some of your very nice, “classic” style, men’s and women’s suits, shirts, blouses, dresses, skirts, ties, scarfs, shoes, accessories, children and babies clothing, etc.

Forming a Legal Coalition for Victory

Forming a Legal Coalition for Victory
Suit vs. Alameda County District Attorney (DA), California Attorney General (AG) and the Alameda County Department of Child Support Service (DCSS)

This case is about, a civil and criminal judicial, governmental, and law enforcement fraud that goes back to the Department Of Justice- U. S. Attorney General and NSA. The government can not defend this admitted fraud, embezzlement, breach of fiduciary, extortion (recorded conversation and all documents can be listen to and/or downloaded below) and obstruction of justice in a MAJOR civil suit!

The nearly three decades old continuing story of the conflict between Abdul-Jalil al-Hakim and his Family with the Alameda County District Attorney (DA), the California Attorney General (AG) and the Alameda County Department of Child Support Service (DCSS) must be among the most extensively told in the history of the American judiciary. The related child support matter was being heard by Judge Stephen Pulido. Current Presiding Court Judge Winifred Smith has previously recused, as has former Presiding Judge Yolanda Northridge, Judge Sue Alexander, Commissioner Taylor Culver is conflicted, Commissioner Glenn Oleon has committed crimes that are the basis for this action and Supervising Judge C. Don Clay has been involved in this matter and exhibited highly questionable judgment by not pursuing a complaint against the investigator Bob Connor and the District Attorney’s office. We now have concerns about the impartiality of Judge Pulido with this case allegedly being assigned to him with the obvious exparte communications that have been had between him, court administration, the DA and DCSS. Pulido ducked out of the case after he incriminated himself, Commissioner Hendricks recused herself and even though she was TOTALLY conflicted by having worked in the D. A.’s office and was supervised by the mastermind of the fraud Sue Eadie, Commissioner Boydine Hall REFUSED to recuse herself and ruled in favor of her former supervisor! Hall, who first refused to answer if she worked for the D. A.’s office, then denied that she, later admitted that she had worked for the D. A.’s office. Hall had a 30 year career in the D. A.’s office, worked with ALL the individuals on this case that committed the admitted fraud, and Eadie was her supervisor! Just as soon as Hall admitted she worked for the DA, she denied it again when confronted with the fact that she was participating in this ongoing fraud and obstructing justice! In the related al-Hakim vs Rescue and CSAA et., al. there are numerous instances of judicial misconduct, where EVERY judge and commissioner in this case has admitted error, committed perjury, recused themselves, or all three!

In pursuing the matter with the leads that we have developed entraps those mentioned above and others that tried to investigate us for pushing back against the persecution and terrorizing that colluded with the real criminals that perpetrated these continuing crimes in their attempts to entrap us in crime. When there was no crime that we could be entrapped in, they created the crimes themselves and simply chose to prosecute on that basis. How does one answer to the question of “how can the District Attorney admit to committing a crime of fraud, embezzlement and obstruction of justice of a minor child and prosecute the father for it?”. How can ALL the State and Federal law enforcement agencies be on notice of the crime and prosecution, have received formal complaints of the crime and prosecution, be directed to investigate and prosecute the fraud and prosecution and do NOTHING but cover up the crime and prosecution?

We are seeking purposeful organizations that might be interested in forming a coalition for a MAJOR VICTORY that would inspire Muslims to stand up against the national criminal judicial, governmental, and law enforcement persecution and terror being inflicted upon innocent citizens everywhere! At the very least I would expect you ALL to support that effort. The government can not fight this admitted fraud and embezzlement in a civil suit! Since the facts and testimony is already admitted and developed over years, there’s little risk or costs involved and a GREAT REWARD/RETURN!! WE respect and recognize the boundaries that each of you have set for yourselves and if you would prefer not to get engaged in the task we ask that share this cause widely and refer it to others.

With that in mind, we would like to propose just that. Forming a Legal Coalition for Victory and would like references to organizations that want to participate in the civil suit against the DA and that will bring into focus the activities of the others in the cover-up and collusion. Ismail had mentioned the Muslim Advocates as a resource and I think they are a good fit. Please share this proposal with EVERYONE that you think might or should be interested in winning justice and respect for ALL childern, responsile parents, Muslims and people in general!

al-Hakim and family now wish to sue the DA, AG, DCSS, and possibly California Governor Jerry Brown. Due to the admitted, uncontroverted, uncontested evidence in this matter it could be won on summary judgment and I have attached recent filings to give you an idea of what has transpired in this matter. It just needs some relentless tenacity! Attorneys here are afraid of the system that has ignored the law for fear of being blackballed!

They created and complied an entire presumptively inadmissible product and evidence of admitted fraud and bribery, then exercised a clearly illegal conflict of interest in misrepresenting the family, conducting a complete trial to defend their illegal actions and evidence before admitting the conflict AFTER the trial was completed and have sought to cover it up since!

The DA, AG and DCSS and their judicial team of covert illicit participants– the putative accounting expert that created and complied the entire presumptively inadmissible product and evidence of admitted fraud and bribery, the accounting report used as the sole basis for the judgment by Commissioner Glenn Oleon despite the fact he knew it was the product of fraud.

al-Hakim and Family assert that good cause exists to question the legality of the standing of ALL the Parties including the Attorney General of The State of California (AG) whom substituted in as Attorney of Record allegedly “representing” The People of The State of California, et. al., “In The Interest of Justice” in this case for the Alameda County District Attorney (DA) and the Alameda County Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) as they exercised a clearly illegal conflict of interest in misrepresenting the family, conducting a complete trial to defend their illegal actions and evidence before admitting the conflict AFTER the trial was completed. This act makes them ALL a co-conspirator in the DCSS’s continuing fraud upon The People of The Sate of California, the Superior Court and the al-Hakim Family, continuing their persecution of our family. They did not have standing then and CAN NOT NOW!

Thank you and I welcome and look forward to your response with the furthering of the litigation and resolution of this ongoing case.

Respectfully,

Abdul-Jalil al-Hakim

Muhammad Ali’s Passing and UNIVERSAL CURRENCY, and The Eid

Surah Al-Insan says: “And they are those who give food – in spite of their own need , to the needy, and the orphan, and the captive, [saying in their hearts], “We only feed you for the sake of God, and we desire nothing in return from you, not even a word of thanks’’ (76:8-9).

As Salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu wa Jazzak Allah Khair Khayrun,

AARON & MARGARET WALLACE FOUNDATION, (AMWF) would like to wish you all a Happy Eid! May ALLAH accept your good deeds and grant you and your families forgiveness!

The Eid are Times of Relief, Reflection, Gratefulness and Celebration!
The first hours of Ramadan began with the passing of Muhammad Ali, a world treasure. This forced those of us that knew him a bit to reflect on the meaning of it, his world treasury, what he meant to the WORLD, HIS UNIVERSAL CURRENCY, not just us that may have known him a bit. The WORLD exhibited caring, heartfelt emotions that still wasn’t been comprehended!! It reminded me of the explanation that Imam Warith Deen Mohammed would give of the meaning of “Allahu Akbar” where the accepted meaning is “God is Great”, or “God is Greatest” to really translate into “God is GREATER” because the human mind can not truly conceive nor comprehend the true GREATNESS of God!, so God is always GREATER than you could possibly know or understand!!
The WORLD expression of the meaning of Ali to them was from the same inability to comprehend it’s sheer vastness!! I still haven’t found the expression, because there’s still so much of life to reflect on that made a difference that HE was the tool Allah used to engineer the revolution to an evolution!!
Then the Eid causes us to reflect upon the test which we have all experienced this past Ramadan. We recognized this as a time in which we needed to consult fully with ALLAH (SWT) on everything rather than on our human, flawed selves, which is why we pray, fast, turn to the Qur’an and beg our Lord’s guidance. In doing so, we come near to Allah as we have learned what it means to be content in all circumstances, whether having everything and comfortable or in having nothing and struggling. We have to gain a greater appreciation for the plight of the needy, the poor! Whether the working poor that can’t make ends meet, to the refugee with nothing, to the homeless, we MUST recognize their right to dignity and a decent life. It can not possibly hurt any of the able to help or support us who do. So how can ANYONE, much less the leaders of some major Masjids, take food from the mouths of the needy, or clothes from the backs of the needy DURING RAMADAN?!!!! Astaghfirullah!! More to come, iA.
And (commanding you): “Seek the forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him in repentance, that He may grant you good enjoyment, for a term appointed, and bestow His abounding Grace to every owner of grace (i.e. the one who helps and serves needy and deserving, physically and with his wealth, and even with good words). But if you turn away, then I fear for you the torment of a Great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).” [Hud 11:3]
We are quick to rally around relief for a foreign war or a natural disaster, but ignore the personal tragedies within the Muslim communities right here at home. You don’t have to donate money, food, clothing, other goods and services to Syria or Iraq that is NEVER going to get there, especially when we have our own Syria and Iraq in the Muslim communities right here, starting with the person praying next to you, the brother that has no job, the abused sister that has no here to go, the youth that’s cutting school and using drugs! The leaders of these Masjids do not want to acknowledge this and in doing so, fail and refuse to take into consideration that this is their, the Masjids OBLIGATION from Allah (SWT)! The Masjids are not just “a building” without a soul and none in it with a soul, it’s suppose to be the center of the community and the lives it serves- ALL community members at large, NOT just Muslims!
We are grateful to ALLAH (SWT) for having touched the hearts of those who embody the God mandated mission and commitment to ALLAH’S principles that we as servants of ALLAH (SWT) must fulfill.

This is part of an overall effort to raise a total of $135,000 to include trucks, Apple computers, and equipment to better serve the ever expanding needy of Northern California with our Free Food Distributorship, first of it’s kind at this level! This is MAJOR!! We can put a possible END to food insecurity in the Bay Area, and serve as a model nationwide! Read it and let us know if or how you may be able to help us, we NEED IT!
We have obtained a Food Truck to provide hot meals to the needy weekly and for special events!

We serve over 30,000 people a month from 13 Communities and 20 other locations and provide for thousands with the special events we support that are totally free to the public. We contracted with the City of Richmond with a $1 Million coverage deal to provide regular weekly Free Food service to seven, then nine community centers- Booker T. Anderson Eastshore Park, Shield-Ried Center, Nevin Center, Parchester Community Center, and Martin Luther King Community Center on that list. This is a MAJOR GAME CHANGER as we will expand into Fremont, San Jose and Sunnyvale areas first, then the San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin, Walnut Creek, Fairfield, Sacramento areas if we can get the funding, but the REAL NEED is sooo much greater! You can help us solve that problem as according to the USDA Household Food Security in the United States Report, 2013, nearly 16 million children are living in food-insecure homes. That’s more than 1 in 5 children!

With a refrigerated truck, vans and freezer we could easily triple our distribution including daily fresh natural health foods, Zabiha, Halal, Organic, All Natural, Kosher, Vegan and specialty products, farm-fresh produce, high quality all-natural meats and seafood, and capacity to serve the needy! We will have fresh, natural organic products; a great mix of everyday staples; healthy canned goods; assorted fresh fruits and vegetables; gourmet deli meats and products; eggs, dairy and cheeses products; more high quality organic, all natural and grass fed meat, fish and poultry; all natural organic health foods; high quality baby foods;  high quality pet foods; dry and canned goods; frozen natural and organic prepared meals, foods and specialty items; natural body care and personal hygiene products; vitamins and supplements; fresh organic fruits and vegetables; organics and All natural products; gluten-free products; vegan and vegetarian meatless products; deli products; bakery products; bins and barrels of bulk food products; alternative options for those with food sensitivities, and so much more. Just what we strive for to provide to our needy clientele. This will more greatly enhance our business model as tantamount and concordant with our program and success, and YOU can assist us in providing even better products for those less fortunate immediately!
Since hunger DOES NOT require it, we will not ask our clients to provide an ID or proof of residency, therefore we will not use the County Food Banks for these same FREE items. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO WE REQUIRE A PERSON TO GIVE THEIR NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, AND FAMILY SIZE WITH MATCHING GOVERNMENT ISSUED IDENTIFICATION!

We also MUST acknowledge Dr. Naseem Z. and Dr. M. Yusuf Sheikh and Family, and the A 2 Z Foundation for arranging and hosting the weekly Jumaah “Free Farmers Market” Food Giveaway at the Berkeley Masjid in Berkeley, Ca.

Shannon SharpeClass of 2011

“My life for 14 years in the National Football League was football. I ate, I drank, I slept and thought football. That’s all I wanted to do. I didn’t take vacations, I didn’t own a yacht, I didn’t have a whole bunch of hobbies other than working out and getting ready for the upcoming season.”

ShannonWith that kind of work ethic, you better believe Shannon Sharpe was one of the scariest tight ends the League has ever seen…if you were on the opposing defense, that is.  He called Denver home for the first decade of his professional career, gaining recognition early on for catching 53 passes for 640 yards in only his third season to earn his first Pro Bowl bid.  While at Denver, he earned two Super Bowl rings in back-to-back championship games (XXXII and XXXIII) and landed a coveted spot on Wheaties cereal boxes.

After leaving the Broncos in 2000, Sharpe signed with Baltimore, where he set a new record for receptions and receiving yards by a tight end.  Ozzie Newsome, the Ravens’ general manager at the time and the player whose record Sharpe surpassed, described him as “a great route-runner…[who has] proven that he can make the big plays.  That’s what separates him.  He’s a threat.”  Though he only spent two years with the Ravens, Sharpe earned yet another championship ring in Super Bowl XXXV, embarrassing the Giants in a game that ended with a final score of 34-7.

Sharpe returned to Denver for his final two seasons.  In all, Sharpe played 14 seasons totaling 815 receptions, 10,060 receiving yards, 62 touchdowns, and 8 Pro Bowl selections.

Thurman Thomas– Class of 2007

“In college, I had to work really hard to get my game where I wanted it to be because I had a guy Thurmanbehind me whose name was Barry Sanders. With him being behind me and not wanting him to take my job, if he ran 10 100-yard sprints, I had to run 11. Just to keep that edge. I think that helped me once I got into the pros.”

Back in the day, running back Thurman Thomas was a force to be reckoned with.  He began his professional career as a second-round pick with the Buffalo Bills, becoming part of the no-huddle offense that led the team to 4 consecutive Super Bowls (XXV – XXVIII).  He stockpiled more than 2,000 all-purpose yards in multiple individual seasons during his career, leading the league in yardage output with 631 yards on 62 receptions and 1,407 rushing yards in 1991.

In 2000, Thomas joined the ranks of Miami but suffered a career-ending knee injury in November of his inaugural season with the Dolphins.  In all, Thomas played 13 seasons totaling 12,074 rushing yards, 4,458 receiving yards, 65 rushing touchdowns, and 5 Pro Bowl selections.

Warren Moon– Class of 2006

Moon“We’re a family, and families support one another. I’m a part of this family. I’m going to support everything that it does.”

Moon led the league with 4,689 passing yards. He also led the league in attempts (584), completions (362), and touchdowns (33), and tied Dan Marino’s record with nine 300-yard games in a season. The following year, he again led the league in passing yards 4,690. At the same time, he joined Hall of Fame quarterbacks Dan Marino and Dan Fouts as the only quarterbacks to post back-to-back 4,000-yard seasons. Moon also established new NFL records that season with 655 attempts and 404 completions.

Moon was traded to the Minnesota Vikings before the 1994 season. In his debut season he passed for 4,264 yards and led the team to the playoffs. In his second season in Minnesota, he again passed for more than 4,200 yards. Moon moved on to the Seattle Seahawks as a free agent in 1997 where the veteran star set franchise records for completions (313) and yards passing (3,678) and earned his ninth Pro Bowl selection. Injuries limited his play in 1998. In 1999, Moon joined the Kansas City Chiefs and spent two seasons as a backup there before retiring.

Despite spending his first six professional seasons in the CFL, Moon ranked third all-time in NFL passing yardage and fourth in touchdown passes thrown at the time of his retirement.

One of the first celebrity sightings dates to 1877 when famed Polish actress Helena Modjeska attended the third running of the Kentucky Derby. In the 1945 book, Down the Stretch, it was noted that Modjeska was impressed by the Derby but even more charmed by the mint julep to which she was introduced by Churchill Downs founder M. Lewis Clark following the race.Derby Party

Over the years, a stream of celebrities from film, music, sports, politics and wealth have been drawn to the Derby. On at least one occasion, a celebrity with a more notorious background was the talk of the Derby. The 15th renewal in 1889 brought bank and train robber Frank James to Louisville. The brother of famed outlaw Jesse James and a leader in their outlaw gang, Frank was on hand to watch Spokane take the victory over favored Proctor Knott.
Although most of the rich and famous that attend are guests of prominent ticket holders, the Derby has also attracted an impressive roster of celebrity racehorse owners. The group has found that the thrill of running their horses in the Kentucky Derby is as moving as any accomplishment in their professional careers.

Kim K

During the 1990s this group of celebrity owners grew to include: musician MC Hammer, 1992 Dance Floor, 3rd; composer Burt Bacharach, 1994 Soul of the Matter, 5th, and 1995 Afternoon Deelites, 8th; music producer Berry Gordy, 1994 Powis Castle, 8th; film producer Albert Broccoli, 1994 Brocco, 4th; New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, 1997 Concerto, 9th; and former NBA and current University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino, 1998 Halory Hunter, 4th, and 2001 A P Valentine, 7th.

A direct descendant of England’s Epsom Derby, the Kentucky Derby has been attended on four separate occasions by British royalty. The first came in 1930, when Edward George Villiers Stanley, the 17th Earl of Derby and a representative of the family from whom the term Derby was derived, became the first member of Actress Zoe Saldana at the 133rd Kentucky Derbythe English nobility to attend. Prohibition was in effect at the time and Lord Derby expressed his disappointment in not being able to sample a mint julep. “You have a great many advantages I should like to copy for England,” Derby said, “but prohibition is not one of them.” Derby was followed in 1951 by the Duke of Windsor, who had renounced the British throne in 1936 so he could marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson.
The 100th running of the Kentucky Derby in 1974 brought Princess Margaret and her husband, Lord Snowdon. The most recent visit by British royalty came in 2007, when Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II attended with her husband, Prince Philip.
Eight U.S. Presidents have witnessed the Derby and marveled at the pageantry and spectacle of the famed event. Future President Harry S. Truman was reported as the first and was followed in 1952 by Lyndon Johnson who attended as a Texas senator. In 2000, future President George W. Bush, who would win the election that same year, was on hand for the 126th running of the Derby with his father former President George Herbert Walker Bush.
Only Richard M. Nixon attended while serving in office. He had visited in 1968 as guest of Kentucky Governor Louie B. Nunn and commented that if he was elected President he would return to the 1969 Derby. That year also attracted two future presidents Gerald R. Ford and Ronald Reagan. No other President has witnessed more Derbys than Ford. Beginning in 1977, Ford and his wife Betty attended almost every Derby for 10 years as guests of longtime friend John Galbreath, a former Churchill chairman of the board. In 1983, for the 109th Derby, two past Presidents and one future president were in attendance. Ford was joined by Jimmy Carter, the Democrat who had defeated him in 1976, and then Vice President George Bush, who would win the 1988 presidential election. In 1999, Al Gore joined the list of vice presidents that attended the Derby. That list includes: 1931, Charles Curtis; 1937, John Nance Garner; and 1958 Alben Barkley.

The Aaron & Margaret Wallace Food Program (AMWF) has helped the less fortunatePayPal Logo for over 58 years continuously and are now serving over 30,000 per month from 19 Northern California locations!
After witnessing my mother and father give freely to others since I was a child from the1950’s until their death, charity struck a cord with me. I often thought, “how and in whatway I could contribute anything close to the enormous good they had done so often for so many?”. My parents purchased land and built a church for their personal pastor and to accompany that, they also built him and his family a home as well.
As I grew and matured, became more knowledgeable, sophisticated, and worldly, and as my faith and religious acumen blossomed, I realized the prodigious importance of building a house of worship and the infinite blessings that flow from such an achievement. I had to find a way to fulfill that potential within me as my parents had set the bar very, very high!
I knew that I didn’t have to re-invent the wheel as there was an incredible model  for success that I could really make a difference and give back to my community by continuing the programs that my parents had forged when I was a child! So the A&MWF began with the
support of friends, neighbors, acquaintances, religious leaders, community members, and businesses dedicated to helping others.

The Aaron & Margaret Wallace Foundation (A&MWF) is a non-denominational, multi-cultural,100% volunteer financed and operated relief organization that provides FREE food, medicine, clothing, educational and employment opportunities, mental and physical health referrals, legal aid, shelter and other necessities to individuals, children, families, and organizations who lack these essentials for any reason. We provide private school and college admissions educational opportunities; assists with referrals for job training and placement; rental assistance; social services assistance; homelessness assistance; mental and physical health assistance; medical assistance and legal aid assistance referrals FREE for ANYONE whom has the need at the Aaron & Margaret Wallace Foundation website.

AMWF Paypal    A&MWF, a public services organization based on GIVING AND SHARING, has created a 100% volunteer self-operated, self-supported, self financed model defined by developing the marketplace of a network that features high-performing results in the invaluable areas of: youth development; elementary, secondary and college education; poverty alleviation; mental and physical health medical services; social services, as well as other economic-empowerment programs for individuals, families; and small businesses.
A&MWF is pioneering a new trend, as government and community funds grapple with the recession and the challenges of raising funds, WE have forged an awareness and sustained an effort to connect those in dire need with service providers, donors, volunteers and nonprofit groups with these causes. We have taken community foundations and moved into social networking, reaching beyond static “bricks and mortar” to interactive Web sites to serve as a “dynamic virtual clearinghouses or town square” that holds conversations between those in NEED and their local charities, citizens, donors, and volunteers.
Every month thousands of San Francisco/ Oakland Bay Area residents rely on the AMWF Community Food Program for nutritious food and social service resources. As a local entity providing free food to those in need, we are seeing a significant increase in the percentage of children we serves, as county food banks see a spike in pleas for help. “51 percent of individuals served … are infants, children and teenagers. In the past, the percentage of people under 18 was 40 percent.”
The change is attributed to an increase in the number of families seeking emergency food aid. “Traditionally we’ve seen more demand for services from the western end of the city, but we are seeing an increase in need in the central part, and we even have people from the Hills and the affluent parts of town”.
The Aaron & Margaret Wallace Community Food Programs (AMWF), a multi-ethnic, multi-issue community-based organization, continues to carry out its mission of a society in which all persons flourish as it provides and refers comprehensive services — in collaboration with other hunger, health care, housing, violence, abuse, counseling, senior, youth, women, children, civil rights, employment, and education response agencies — to thousands of men, women and children living in San Francisco/ Oakland Bay Area in California to help transform the lives of people in need.
AMWF extends these various services and programs to the economically, mentally, and physically challenged; the poor and homeless; the undereducated and undeserved; people living with symptomatic HIV and AIDS; substance abuse; seniors 55 years and older; prenatal women; at risk youth; and homebound people living with serious illness.
Our members, and the people we serve are of different race, faith, culture, age, gender, sexual orientation and income levels. AMWF by providing direct services, including providing nutritious food; edvocating for and participating in many relevant social service programs that promote the self-sufficiency of people in need; educating the general public about these issues, their causes and this partial solution while inspiring a consummate social conscience and honoring the dignity of every person. As part of that principal mission, AMWF works for basic economic survival security for all and the elimination of poverty by providing these services thus effecting societal and governmental policies that regulate the less fortunate to the bottom of the economic, social, health, and opportunity pyramid, with full understanding that any policy which affects the poorest of us affects all of us.
By catering to everyone we have built many allies with statewide and national anti-hunger organizations to support legislation addressing low-income people’s food needs. In doing so, we help build power in our communities and win institutional changes on the issues that affect our lives as we provide fresh, hot, nutritious meals and bags of groceries with healthy meat, fish, breads, perishable and nonperishable food, such as canned vegetables and fruits, tuna fish, peanut butter, rice, dry beans and pasta, at a location near their home that are served to anyone without restriction.
A&MWF has made it easy and effortless for service providers, donors, volunteers and nonprofit groups to connect with those in NEED, as we have received more individuals needs profiles submitted on this site. The profiles include their contact information, information about their needs, desired solutions, pleas for their need satisfaction, and a listing of opportunities to achieve their solution. We also have profiles submitted of individuals as prospective donors or volunteers, include information about the causes that interest them.
We look forward to our being able to do business together helping those most in need while providing you with incredible branding opportunities with maximum media exposure for the greatest community relations benefit and increased business development. There is no better branding than to be perceived as a company that cares for the less fortunate, the working man, and the environment while presenting a quality product at a great price and being socially conscious. Your customer feels that they are contributing to your good efforts as if they are doing it themselves!
If you or someone that you know needs Quality of Life Aid, PLEASE fill out the form below so that we can determine the best way to assist them.

Hand of Dignity” Program

AMWF specializes in some new, but mostly gently used clothing and accessories in designer apparel sold in the nation’s leading upscale department stores and retailers and provide First Quality designer apparel, footwear, and accessories. We operate and maintain an inventory so we can offer our patrons diverse selection at all times. This is what separates us from the majority of non-profit distributors. We also handle electronics, sporting goods, toiletries, general merchandise, and more. We offer great styles in urban wear clothing, hip hop and designer apparel names like Armani, Ralph Lauren Corporation, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Calvin Klein, Gucci, Burberry, Nike, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Diesel, J.
